The Flavel brand has been popular since the Kitchener was displayed at the Great Exhibition held at the Crystal Palace in 1851! Fast forward 170 years and their range of entry level stoves, now sold under the Portway banner, are causing just as much of a stir in Luton in 2025!

Featuring a steel body for quick transfer of heat when the stove is first lit and a cast iron door to hold the heat long after the embers have died away, the DEFRA approved Portway stoves are perfect for use in Luton’s Smoke Control Zone.

Their typically large windows give you a great view of the flame picture whilst their wide fireboxes mean you can use good length logs. Their slim, five inch, flue opening means that you can line the narrowest chimneys quickly and easily.
